- Size of the faculty more than doubled
- Enrollment increased over fifty percent, with Ph.D. enrollments doubling
- Citations of faculty research ranking UTD's management faculty fourteenth among management school faculties, nationwide
- Academic programs and new processes revised to ensure continued innovation
- Career Management Center established at the school
- Undergraduate majors added in Information Systems and Finance
- New master's degree concentrations added in E-Commerce, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Supply-Chain Management
- New master's degree in Information Technology Management added
- Internet-based Global MBA Online added
- Medical management program added for practicing physicians and senior health care administrators in alliance with The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
- New executive education master's program added in Project Management
- Student advising office expanded
- Award-winning alumni magazine, MANAGEMENT, begun - now with a circulation of eighteen thousand
- Enrollments doubled in a revised executive MBA program
- New building construction completed August 2003
- OR/MS Today reports the school is ranked 6th in worldwide research productivity for Management Science and Information Systems
- AACSB accreditation granted
