Work has just been completed drilling and pouring the 196 piers which will support the new School of Management building. The below ground depth of the piers varies between 20 and 60 feet. A 3 ½ foot crawl space will exist under about 66% of the building. The remaining third will be "slab on grade" as the limestone bedrock is close to the surface.

Next week a sub-contractor will arrive to install forms for walls and beams. The first floor will soon follow.

At times, there may be up to 300 construction workers on site. About thirty specialty construction firms will be involved in the construction of the building.
