The detour on Drive A was removed this morning. Also this morning at 2:30 a.m., the second floor deck was poured for most of sections A and B. Overall, the project is on schedule.
Some of the third floor deck for section C has been poured. Work is progressing for removing the pans from under this deck. It takes 28 days for the concrete beams to fully cure, so jacks are strategically placed on the lower levels while work continues on the upper decks.
Plumbers will be working in the crawlspace under the first floor for the next several weeks. They are installing pipes that connect floor drains and appliances to the sanitary sewer.
The foreman from Baker Drywall is on site today marking the
layout for the first floor partitions. Doorways are marked with bright green paint. The door number and direction the door will open are indicated based on the architectural drawings. Donnell, the foreman, anticipates between 40 and 50
workmen will eventually be on site to build the exterior skin and interior partitions.
It has been 37 days with no lost time accidents. Approximately 102 workers are on site today, the sub-contractors are:
- Addison Harrington (deck pouring & finishing): 16 people
- Baker Drywall (interior, exterior): 2 people
- Brandt Engineering (plumbing): 7 people
- Encompass (electrical): 8 people
- Great Western (steel): 16 people
- Hensel Phelps (project management & column pouring): 18 people
