Accounting students at The University of Texas at Dallas may enjoy participation in unique organizations. The accounting organizations' basic objectives are to provide students with information that will enable them to formulate sound career decisions, assist in obtaining specific qualities that will enhance their abilities to generate job offers, and to enhance the relationships between accounting students and prospective employers.Beta Alpha Psi
Beta Alpha Psi is a national scholastic and professional fraternity for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of the fraternity is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.Students may apply for membership during the first six weeks of any semester, and initiations of new members are in the fall and spring. BAP offers many events throughout the year to ensure that the above accounting objectives are met.
