Stan Liebowitz and Alejandro Zentner, both professors at the School of Management at UT Dallas, attended the annual meeting of the Society for Economic Research on Copyright Issues in Singapore in July 2006. Both presented papers.
Stan Liebowitz was elected president of the Society for Economic Research on Copyright Issues.

The Journal of Law and Economics presented file-sharing as the lead topic in its April 2006 issue. Of the four papers, two were written by CAPRI scholars: Stan Liebowitz and Alejandro Zentner. The other two papers were by Rob and Waldfogel, from the University of Pennsylvania; and Bhattacharjee, Gopal, Lertwachara and Marsden, from the University of Connecticut.

In November 2005, Stan Liebowitz was the keynote speaker at a regional meeting of the Business Software Alliance held in Kuala Lumpur. He presented a paper entitled "Why Firms Win," which was based on his research on the role of quality and its relation to success in software markets.

In November 2005, Stan Liebowitz participated in a "Working Group of Experts" at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva. He discussed his work on the economics of copying, and in particular file-sharing.

In January 2006, Stan Liebowitz gave a talk in Rome on the economics of copying at an OECD conference about The Future Digital Economy.
