These are programs that we use and recommend.

Essentials
Flash (free) - Plays video and facilitates interactive learning exercises.  Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) To read those glorious PDF Files.
RealPlayer (free) - Plays streaming audio/video (this is the UTD standard). Microsoft XP Operating System (free). Contact David Sanzgiri to install.
Respondus (free) - Makes uploading test questions to WebCT a cinch! Email webct@utdallas.edu for Password. Microsoft Office 2003 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access (free). Contact David Sanzgiri to install.
Java (free) - You need this for WebCT.

Merlot (Website) This is an incredible site! Lots of free interactive exercises for Business/Accounting courses. Swiff Chart (around $150.00) Make your charts come to life with animation.
Turnitin (free) - A really useful plagiarism detection program. Hot Potatoes (free) - Easily create self-graded interactive quizzes and exercises.
Windows Media Player (free) - Plays streaming audio/video. Camtasia (around $150.00) Record everything you see on your computer!
QuickTime (free) - Plays streaming audio/video. Spybot Search and Destroy (free) Reduces popup ads. Contact David Sanzgiri to install.
Winzip ($29.95) - Allows you to compress several files into one. Audacity (free) - Audio editing program.
