MBA Degrees

The UTD School of Management offers several programs for earning an MBA degree: Cohort full-time MBA, Professional MBA, and a number of Executive Education programs. Together, the programs offer on-campus, on-line and alternative scheduling options. All MBA degrees are 53 academic hours with the same set of 29- hour core requirements.

Cohort Full-Time MBA

The Cohort MBA Program is a full-time 16-month program with a new class starting each fall. Ranked by US News and World Report among the top 100 full-time MBA programs in the nation, this program has selective admission criteria that ensure a class of students with strong business and educational backgrounds. Attending core classes during the day and electives in the evening, Cohort MBA students enjoy the benefits of a small, personalized program embedded within the larger SOM graduate offerings.

The School of Management has joined with the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas to offer a combined MD/MBA degree. Students admitted to the School of Medicine typically complete the first three years of the medical curriculum, then take management courses in the Cohort MBA program for a full year, and in their fifth year complete med school and the MBA.
